Film
Diving was born in 1996 thanks to the effort of an expert cameraman, Lorenzo
Selo, who has always had a huge love for dive. He decided to extend his ray
of action up and under the sea. Until that period this particular kind of job
was just faced from some deep-sea divers who had the hobby of the diving films.
Obviously
this wasn't an easy thing to do because there was the crashing meeting of two
opposite mentalities: on one hand there were the institutional commitments (big
networks, production society and video service) and on the other there were many
hard working diving video amateur who, unfortunately, weren't so informed about
the problems about the TV productions and about the behaviour and the language.
Film diving decided to change this tendency: the diving films have the same
organization of the terrestrial ones.
For this reason nowadays in our society there is the use of the tripod, the monitor that the director can use (or the responsible of production), the self-powered light or non, the stand, the filter, the "tally" and the "intercom" but also the diving camera that works with an OB-VAN, and many other accessories, sagacity and technologies that make as most as possible similar the diving films to the canons of the TV language.
Film
diving has the same characteristic of the service video broadcast: it is
possible to have troupes ENG in BETA - SP with camcorder Sony broadcast,
everything has many accessories (microphones kit lights kit, lights, optics,
filters, mini-jibs, etc.) It is also possible to have troupes with an Avid Media
Composer that is installed on a special fly-case and represents a valid system for
non-linear editing.
We also use a regia video in fly-case that, alimented by a generating set, can
be used as unity of multi camera production wherever you decide to work.
Film Diving is the refering point for the naturalistic, scientific and documentary productions, which have as central theme the sea or the animals or the environment in all his expressions. In fact the three fundamental colours used for the logo are refered to the earth: the green to the vegatable, the light blue to the sky and the blue to the sea.
